Good Morning!
Do you remember your prom? If so, does the thought come with a flood of positive or awful memories and feelings?
For some, prom night was one of the best moments of their high school career. For others, it might be a painful memory. There’s so much pressure for this one occasion that it can cause tremendous anxiety and uncertainty in our kids. And it can blow up into something previously unimaginable if your child hasn’t been asked to their prom or is considering skipping it altogether.
There are, however, some ways that parents can help to prepare their teenagers, whether they plan on attending their prom or not.
If you are a parent of a high school student or have any connection to a high school student, we know that you’d like them to have the best prom experience possible, whether that means going or not going; but what can you do to help make that a reality?
This week, our blog post, 'Prom Woes: Fun Times for Some, Sad Times for Others', explores the ups and downs of prom season, shares my own experiences and offers some ideas for how parents can help their children with a precarious prom situation.
