GIFT A GOOD BOOK
The Ministry Effectiveness Committee of Pope Francis Global Academy (a subcommittee of the BSJ), has identified two great books they would like to gift our 5th and 8th grade students.
The first book is geared towards 5th graders and is part of a series called “Chime Travelers.” This book features fun-filled, time-travel adventures with a Catholic message that takes kids to long-ago times and faraway lands.
The second book, “100 Things Every Catholic Teen Should Know,” is focused more on apologetics and is geared towards our 8th graders. It is our hope that they can take these short, simple answers as to what the Church teaches and why we claim it as truth and share it with those they meet.
Would you consider sponsoring a book or two? For $10/book, we will inscribe your name on our custom made donation sticker to be placed on the inside cover of each book. This way, our students will know, first-hand, the support they receive from our entire community. If you are interested in supporting this effort with a donation of $10, $20 or more, please send a check in to either office with a note which says how you would like the inscription to read. Checks can be made payable to “Pope Francis Global Academy.” Please return no later than May 7th, 2018. Thank you in advance from the Ministry Effectiveness Committee.
To both reinforce practical knowledge of our spiritual charter and encourage its faithful execution, the Ministry Effectiveness Committee of our Board of Specified Jurisdiction has created a recognition program dubbed the, “Distinguished Disciple” award.
