Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has JUST confirmed in a letter to Outdoors Victoria that there will now be an exemption for commercially run canoes and kayaks in the new legislation.
NO CANOES OR KAYAKS WILL BE LEVIED BY AMSA
This is a perfect example of community working together to effect change and we'd to thank all the individuals and peak organisations who sounded the alert, quickly shared the list of our concerns, and put in submissions to have this potentially crippling levy overturned.
