Wondering how to meet your 20% energy reduction commitment to the BBC? Contact your Account Manager or email the BBC team about attending a customized workshop to complete your 'Roadmap to 20%' plan. The American Planning Association is offering free expert planning services to communities affected by recent natural disasters. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis through June 18th to access a range of training and capacity building opportunities.

• The International Living Future Institute has issued an RFP to select ten affordable housing projects to receive free technical assistance to help them achieve Living, Petal, or Zero Energy certification. Apply by May 16th and email Susan Puri with any questions.
• Registration Open! The Department of Energy has announced the 2018 Better Buildings Summit will be August 21-23, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. Register now.
• Check out the new Better Buildings Solution Center! The website has been completely redesigned, so now is a good time to review your profile pages, solutions, and data displays. Be sure to communicate any updates to your BBC Account Manager.

2018 Data Drive Results

Every partner's core BBC commitment is benchmarking its portfolio-wide energy consumption, allowing partners to gain insight into the relative energy performance of their properties, the potential for improvements, and the effectiveness of investments made to improve performance.

As part of the 2018 BBC data drive, multifamily partners have worked tirelessly with their BBC Account Managers and third-party benchmarking providers to increase whole-building data reporting and reach a more accurate picture of their portfolio-wide energy performance. As a result, 59 partners reached their benchmarking goals and shared 522 million square feet of data, no small feat in the face of persistent challenges of benchmarking ever-changing portfolios. Spotlight on Partner Successes

WinnCompanies completed the largest community solar installation in Washington, D.C. to date as part of the District’s Solar for All program, which has a long-term goal of providing solar electricity to 100,000 low-income households and reducing their energy use by 50 percent by 2032.

New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is launching an innovative new program to provide lower-cost clean energy to low-and-moderate income customers by installing community solar gardens across up to 325 rooftops in NYCHA's portfolio. Organizations and businesses that apply to participate in this solar development opportunity must affirm their intent to employ NYCHA residents. The program is part of NYCHA's commitment to install 25 megawatts of renewable energy capacity on its properties by 2025.

LINC Housing's SEED Partners has installed new solar photovoltaic systems at five properties, impacting 545 low-income family and senior households, reducing resident energy bills, and providing solar installation job training for the community. Co-developed with the National Housing Trust, the project uses a new financing structure that aggregates the properties as one project to leverage tax credits and available incentive programs.
