Changes at the Local Area Coordination Network

We are sad to say that Sam Clark is leaving the Local Area Coordination Network. Sam has been the Chief Executive of the Network since it became an active Community Interest Company in 2016, building on the work of the Network founder Ralph Broad.

The LACN Board of Directors have already identified several options for the next phase of supporting and sustaining Local Area Coordination in England and Wales. However, we will be having conversations with member organisation leads in the next couple of weeks to ensure we build on their priorities in developing the Network’s next phase of work. Our commitment to members is to work with members to consider all options for the future of LACN, ensuring that members get the support they expect and are part of a sustainable, thriving and growing national community of practice with dedicated, expert support for their work. Read the full statement here.

If you have any ideas or want to talk about the changes you can contact Sam or Alex.

TLAP’s National Self-directed Support Forum – 24th April, Derby

What’s happening with pre-payment cards and what’s the latest on direct payment services across the country?

These are just some of the questions TLAP will be addressing at their new self-directed support forum which will be launched in Derby in a few weeks’ time.

Speakers will include Glen Garrod, ADASS President, Martin Walker, TLAP and John Waters, In Control

This free national event is open to commissioners, providers, practitioners, leaders and people with lived-experience.

This should be a lively event with table discussions and a show of good practice.
