Friday, April 13 - Thursday, April 19

This weekly update provides a look at flu activity in Delaware County. While seasonal flu viruses can be detected year-round in the United States, flu viruses are most common during the fall and winter. The exact timing and duration of flu seasons can vary, but flu activity typically peaks between December and February, although activity can last as late as May.

Last Friday Flu Update

This is the first week of zero new hospitalized cases! The last influenza-associated hospitalization in Delaware County was reported on April 10. Barring a sudden increase in influenza cases, this will be the last weekly Friday Flu update of the season. A full summary of the season will be provided in May. Continue to wash your hands and stay home when you are sick to prevent influenza and other infectious diseases.
