ADVENTURER CAMPOUT
April 27-29, 2018


Our theme this year is on Noah’s Ark. A representative from the Vancouver Zoo will be present with live animals. Your Adventurers, Eager Beavers and Little Lambs will not want to miss this opportunity!


There are 8 Clubs registered at this time and another 3 that will be registering soon! Heaven Bound from Abbotsford, Radical Rabbit from Church in the Valley, Mount Cheam from Chilliwack, North Okanagan from Enderby/Armstrong, Rangerz from Vancouver Filipino, Royal City from Westminster, Surrey Dolphins from Surrey, Cornerstone from Cornerstone.

We encourage all Adventurer Clubs to register at www.bcadventist.ca under the Youth Department / Adventures before April 19 by 5:00 pm. Under the Youth Department Call Shelley with any questions at 604.853.5451 ext 413 or email sgibbons@bcadventist.ca.

*Please note all adults over 19 years of age must have a Criminal Record Check in our files by April 19 to attend.

ELDERS RETREAT
Camp Hope, June 15-17, 2018


 

A well-trained team of church elders relieves the burdens pastors feel and gives them joy in their own ministry. For this reason the BC Conference is inviting all Local Church elders to attend the annual Elders Retreat.

This year’s presenter, Nikolaus Satelmajer, will present the following topics:
1. Effective Spiritual Leadership in the Local Congregation
2.  Four (
Almost) Easy Steps for Preparing a Sermon
3.  Leading Committees and Boards
4.  Resources for Church Elders

5.  Questions Elders Ask

 

The cost is $150/- for the weekend (double occupancy), but if elders sign up by June 5 the discounted price will be $100/-.

PENTICTON SDA CHURCH
Healthy Lifestyle


The Penticton Seventh-day Adventist church is taking physical health seriously and providing health enhancing programs to the general public.

Every Wednesday at 4:30 ladies are invited to a fitness program. Besides the muscle-toning exercises, done as demonstrated on a video, the sessions include a short health nugget and devotional.

The world-renowned CHIP (Complete Health Improvement) program begins on April 3 and runs for a month with sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Pre-registration is required. For this and the Watson program, more information can be obtained from Connie at 250-488-1558.

Finally, on May 10, the LifeStart program will begin with Roy Williams. For more information on this, contact Roy at 250-487-7686.
