The Martin City Melodrama & Vaudeville Company presents its 23rd year of KOMEDY KIDSTITUTE© COMEDY AND PERFORMING CAMPS:
KOMEDY FOR KIDS! © is for students entering grades K-12.
Kids will learn how to: tell the funniest joke, slapstick basics, goofy pantomime, off the top-of-your-head improvisation, the classic triple spit take, throw a cream pie, novelty songs, wacky choreography, and perform in an ORIGINAL FULLY-STAGED MELODRAMA & VAUDEVILLE PRODUCTION for family and friends! Taught by Martin City Melodrama professionals and performed on the Martin City Stage! Starting June 11th thru June 15th and June 18th thru June 22nd and Final show Saturday, June 23rd, 2018.
CALLING ALL COMEDIENNES! © is for girls entering 6th-12th grades.
This week-long acting camp is DESIGNED EXCLUSIVELY FOR GIRLS. Workshops include scene study and monologues from silly to serious appropriate for the young female actress. Taught by dynamic female theatre professionals with over 30 years of expertise. This camp will take place from July 16th to July 20th. Showcase will be presented on July 20th, 2018.
KOMEDY FOR KIDDIES! © is for children 4-8 years of age. This is for the youngest comedians, learning beginning comedy skills, silly songs, and basic stage movement taught by Martin City Comedy & theatre professionals. This camp will run from July 23rd to July 27th, 2018. Showcase will be presented on July 27th, 2018.

Martin City Melodrama will now be PERMANENTLY located at
702 Blue Ridge Blvd. This new theatre building is only five minutes away from Martin City, five minutes away from Highway 71 North and South, and at the far South edge of KCMO.
