Dear <<First Name>>
Spring seems finally to have arrived! And there are lots of new volunteering opportunities and interesting activities coming up in the next few months.
Please let me know in advance which session you would like to join so I can make sure we have the right number of tools and equipment ready or we don't move off without you!

The dry shade bed that we planted last Easter has been very successful and is looking lovely - but we need to do some weeding and tidying. There are also some tasks in our woodland wildlife area. Join us for a relaxed session of pottering.

Bats in the City - Sunday evening bat walks

Every Sunday evening we walk one of four routes through the City to record bats using an Echometer bat detector. So far we have identified thriving colonies of Common and Soprano pipistrelles in the Barbican area.If you would like to join us and learn more about these amazing animals and find out whether there are other bat hot spots please contact us in advance. Start times depend on time of sunset and will change as the evenings continue to draw out.

Bee Walk: Sunday 29 April 10.00 - 11.30 starting in Bunhill Fields

Take part in the Bumble Bee Conservation Trust project to record bees every month from March to October. Join us for a relaxing walk starting in Bunhill Fields and finishing in St Paul's churchyard via a number of City Gardens. After Sunday 29 April, Bee Walks will take place on the first Sunday of each month. No experience is required and we will supply ID sheets.

Wild City Exhibition 18 May - 17 June at the Town House Gallery
Come and see the fascinating collection of wild plants gathered over the last 8 years from many locations in the City - some of which no longer exist.
The Exhibition is part of the Chelsea Fringe and will be open for Open Garden Squares Weekend and Spitalfields Open Gardens. Opening times in attached poster. Entrance is FREE.

If you would also like to help for a couple of hours at weekends to look after the weekend rush of visitors that would be great. Please let me know dates and times that would suit you on a Saturday or Sunday and I will add you to the rota.

I'll look forward to seeing you soon.
Best wishes
Sarah
