Sunny Project Field Exercise

In the aim of the SUNNY project, a team of 5 researchers from INESC TEC were at Chania, Greece from 25 to 30 March, to perform integration tests of the tier 2 Sunny project UAVs. This tier objective is to provide a more insight detection of targets in maritime surveillance scenario. These UAVs are equipped with an heterogeneous sensor payload, namely: hyperspectral cameras, electro-optic and thermal imaging cameras inside gimbal units.

On the 1st of March, researchers from INESC TEC (Ana Pires, Aníbal Matos, Carlos Pinho) visited Fravizel facilities and a nearby open-pit quarry of limestone where Frazitel's heavy machineries, drilling and cutting equipment were operating. This visit aimed to strength the network between these two entities.
