Fantastic Romanian Dancing Workshop with Sonia and Cristian, last week! One more chance to see them in Burnaby tomorrow: $5 for SIFD members or BIFD prepaid dancers, $10 for drop-ins. More info here or below. They will again be teaching from their CD/DVD set, Romanian Realm Vol 4. See you there or at our next dancing on Thursday, 7-10pm, at Walnut Road Elementary.
Extra events are optional and are listed here for your information. If a couple of hours of dancing once a week on Thursdays is as much as you want or can manage, that is fine!
- Post-festival workshop with Sonia and Cristian, Tuesday, April 24, 7-10pm, at Charles Rummel Community Centre, 3630 Lozells Ave, in Burnaby. $5 for prepaid BIFD dancers and SIFD members, $10 for drop-ins. Basic Steps program starts at 6:30pm. All are welcome.
- Demo at Fleetwood Villa, 16028 83rd Ave, on Sunday, May 6, 2-3pm for their open house with a multicultural theme. Meet there at 12:30pm. Let me know if you are available to help.
- Demo at Intercultural Showcase on May 12, 11-3pm at Guildford Recreation Centre, 15105 -105 Avenue, Surrey. Exact time to be determined. Website: https://www.surrey.ca/community/26419.aspx. See if you can find someone familiar in the poster.
- Demo at Fleetwood Villa, 16028 83rd Ave, on Friday, June 8, 2:30-3:30pm. Meet there at 1pm. Let me know if you are available to help.
- SIFD Summer BBQ on Saturday, July 28, 3pm-10pm, at Don's farm, 25133 0 Ave, Aldergrove. Folk Voice Band of Seattle will play live music for us! Walk around the farm, dancing, then pot-luck dinner/BBQ, followed by more dancing!
