Aerial Trapeze
(Livia Etelka)
Sa. 9.Juni 2018, 12:00-14:00
So. 10.Juni 2018, 12:00-14:00
FUNdamentals &
Creative Transitions
We will go through fundamental skills and essential training, both on the bar and in the ropes, creative transitions, essential conditioning, specific conditioning exercises, and have a play at spinning on a single-point dance trapeze.
Each day will have a different focus, progressively building towards putting together a sequence.
- Day 1: Rolls/hangs/Balances: Intimate relationship to the bar – exploring how to move, balance, roll, hang, play around the bar (forward/backward rolls, lion rolls, toe/heel/neck hangs, back /front balance, elbow-hang,...)
- Day 2: Life in the ropes – beautiful twisty and stylish moves in the ropes, playing with fun creative transitions and twists. Creativity & Spinning – building up to integrate all the different skills, having a chance to find your own creative input to move through the sequence. If desired, students can explore all they’ve learned with a spin, on a single point dance trapeze.

Aerial Straps
(Oskar Mauricio)
Fr. 15.June 2018: 19:00-21:00
Mo. 18.June 2018:19:00-21:00
Exploration of movement
and the awareness of our body in suspension will be explored on one or two arms. Like animals expressing their being through their conscious instincts and their body awareness, we will liberate ourselves from any tension or habits that are preventing us from finding our natural way of moving on the straps, having so many habits from the past. A global language, infinite and not completely definable.
These ideas will be applied to some basic principles of aerial work such as suspension, total elevation, extension, inversion, stretching, and rotation. We will experiment in various "tempos” and in different directions to move our bodies in a strongly dynamic way.We will give emphasis and full attention to correct and give a deep look at the basic positions attending the movement as a base work in the straps, arriving at each position in an anatomical and comfortable way for our body understanding more what we want to reach. The aim is to find the most natural way of moving in the air and to inspire aerial artists to integrate this new awareness into their own artistic approach.

Acrobatic Silk/Rope
(Oskar Mauricio)
Sa. 16.June 2018: 12:00-15:00
So. 17.June 2018: 12:00-15:00
Awareness of Space-time
This workshop is based on the awareness of the space-time of our body in the air.
And how the circular sensation in the exploration of the movement, harmoniously or unintentionally, can take us to personally unique and infinite spaces in our language.
Every time more and more, we forget as an aerialist, in emphasizing the importance of simplicity and of the whole path that our body and mind inhabits when suspended itself, whether in favor of an exercise, transition or a simple climb.
Based on the technique that aerial straps provide us, we can transfer their valuable information to the rope/silk without losing it's essence, reaching similar positions, allied to the bodily possibility of each of the participants. Simultaneously, we work on the acrobatic movements in the rope/silk to improve the tempos and the elevations, significantly for the technique movements.
