We just got done hosting "Unstoppable" our first ever 2-day youth conference! It was a hit! Remember how we took some of our youth on an out-of-state road trip to a youth conference in January? Well we brought that same event over to Tecate for the first time in history. It was wonderful coming together with youth groups from other parts of Tecate and surrounding cities to worship our God. Over a dozen congregations were represented with over 120 young people present. Revoluz, a popular worship band from Ensenada kept the youth on their dancing feet and then the word of God got them on their knees. A handful gave their lives to Jesus, others recommitted their lives to God, and still others were strengthened in their faith. Saturday morning, before continuing the conference, we hosted a free breakfast for pastors where everyone received an encouraging word from God.

We are so excited to share another testimony of God's healing power within our ministry family! For over the past six years, Norma Lozano, Francisco's sister, has suffered migraines from a brain tumor. Until now, doctor's appointments always resulted in the same news: that the tumor was growing and that there wasn't anything they could do about it. Two weeks ago a doctors visit resulted in even worse news. Not only had the tumor grown even more, but they informed her that a blood vessel had popped inside the tumor and the waiting game had begun for when she would suffer a deadly aneurysm.

Norma is planning her wedding for June so you can only imagine how heart breaking this news was for her and her fiance. But instead of letting herself be defeated, she stepped up to the plate and began to serve God with a fresh passion and intensity, believing and praying for a miracle.

This week she went in for a new test and the results clearly showed a hollow space where there "used to be" a tumor! The doctors couldn't believe it and have no explanation. Norma knows that God answered her prayers and miraculously healed her! Wow! Thank you to those of you who have prayed for her healing. God has responded and we invite you to rejoice!!!

Back in November, Perla felt the hunger to seek God with her family and brought her now husband Angel to our church. I admired his accepting attitude towards the church family and our activities even though I knew deep down he was angry at God. But I was marveled even more at how God softened his hard heart in such a short matter of time. As you may have read in our last newsletter, he and the mother of his 4 year old daughter got married in the studio in March, and now he has taken another leap of obedience!

After our 2 day youth conference this past weekend, some of us joined a visiting youth group on a day trip to the beach. Despite his fear of the ocean, when Angel walked barefoot up to edge, he turned and excitedly said he wanted to get baptized! So, right there in the clothes they had on their back, two guys carried my husband into the cold ocean waves so that he could baptize Angel! As my husband improvised on the spot and shared the gospel, a crowd quickly gathered. Then a few moments later the beach patrol made it through the Sunday beach traffic to see what was going on and check that everyone was ok!

We praise Jesus for softening Angel's hard heart, leading him to forgiveness and setting him free to the point of surrendering his life to Jesus!!! 

So our search for helping hands continues...  Would you consider coming down for a long weekend or a week to help us construct/install our children's ministry room in our facilities? We are currently using what was designated for our office space, to hold Sunday children's ministry. We have big plans to host a  daily children's program in the summer while mothers are in other craft and bible lessons, however we can't do this unless our room gets built.
