In this newsletter, we will bring you up to speed on new reports that have been published and upcoming workshops.
Workshops
In late August, Richard will be travelling to Switzerland. Here, he will be presenting at Vertical-Connect in Meiringen and then running a 2 day RopeLab Workshop immediately afterwards. Bookings for this workshop are being managed by RopeLab. See the link below for more information.
Later in September, Richard will be travelling to Colorado, USA, to run a 5 day Mountain Rescue Workshop. VRS/PMI have engaged RopeLab to present this workshop and are organising all bookings and logistics. Thanks to them for their interest and organisation. Richard is very excited to be getting out into the back country. Please note that this workshop has now sold out.
In October, Richard will be in Berlin, Germany to present a 4 day Advanced Rope Technicians Workshop, followed by a 2 day Equipment Testing Workshop. Bookings are being managed by RopeLab. Thank you to RockExotica Europe for your support in hosting RopeLab once again. See the links below for more information.
We have added 1 new item to the Free Content on the website. It encourages rope technicians to think carefully about their rescue options in their rigging set up.
All the free content can be found using the tab in the main menu. We aim to be continually updating this information.
Two new reports have been added to the RopeLab Online Members' Content. One looks at Ascending Forces in real tests and the second details some interesting tests using TibLocs. We hope you find them useful and interesting. As a RopeLab Online Member, you have the capacity to comment and question. Please feel free to use the comment function or the contact form to make comments or ask questions.
If you have not already signed up to RopeLab Online, it costs $60AUD/year for access to the entire website. See the website for more information.
