FILM AND MUSIC UNBOUND
The months of May and June bring some of our most beloved projects to a number of remarkable orchestras and venues all around Europe. The renowned Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, as an example, embarks on an international tour presenting Richard Strauss's DER ROSENKAVALIER live to the film adaptation from 1925. Composer Don Davis comes from Los Angeles to Strasbourg (France) to conduct his own score for THE MATRIX live to film. The German science fiction milestone METROPOLIS (1927) reaches Bilbao (Spain), and -nice reciprocity!- a recent gem from Spanish cinema, BLANCANIEVES (2012), brings flamenco to the audience in Frankfurt/Main. Such is the unbound power of film and music in concert.
