The First in a Series of...
"Meet your COR Council Members"
My name is Jennifer McCullough (Jeni). I am currently serving as President Elect on the Church Council. I have been a member of Church of the Resurrection for approximately 34 years, joining as a high school student while we were still meeting at Lakeside school. I am married to David (28+years) with three children: Haley (23), Collin(21) and Keegan(16). I grew up in Hartland and moved away shortly after college. Once we were married, Dave and I moved around a bit, but when we decided to have children, we moved back to the area because of the great educational opportunities here.
During my time at COR, I've worn many hats including being a Sunday School Teacher, Nursery worker, Confirmation Guide, Confirmation Opener and most recently an assistant Confirmation Coordinator. I started serving on the Education Team as the Council Rep approximately 7 years ago, and I continue to serve on that team. I was the Chairperson for the Call Committee that called Pastor Liz. I also have chaperoned three FYI mission trips, working along side our amazing young people as they explore what it means to serve in His name.
Each of these rolls has helped me grow as a person and become more solid in my faith. It has been so rewarding to worship and serve along side others who believe we are all disciples of God and who want to do His work. The people here are truly my faith family, and I feel blessed to be part of this congregation. I believe in the work we do here and love that we are a welcoming place for all. I believe this church has a strong, bright, passionate future.
I have had several bible verses that have been a favorite to me over the years, but recently, this is the one I feel connected to: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.
I’m excited for the ministry that lies ahead!

Mother's Day Brunch
Sunday, May 13th, 11:15 am
FYI will be hosting our annual Mother's Day Brunch following the spring musical. All are invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast with us! Freewill offerings will benefit the FYI Mission Trip.
Volunteers Needed
Roadside Cleanup
A roadside cleanup will be held after the 10 am service on Sunday, May 20. We are asking for volunteers to assist. Volunteers should wear their "Our Hands God's Work" t-shirts that day. Human Concerns council chairman Steve DeRosier will be leading the cleanup and will treat participants to lunch and ice cream at Culvers afterwards. Please consider volunteering. Thank you.

Pitch and Stitch night
The Milwaukee Brewers will host a Pitch and Stitch night on Monday, June 11 at 7:10 pm; they will be playing against the Chicago Cubs. We are able to sit in a special section and receive a craft-related Bernie Brewer bobblehead.
Tickets are $49 each for anyone who wants to sit with us in our special section--even if you don’t knit (we can give you a skein of yarn to blend in). If you want to go, please contact Pat Faherty at (262) 337-0977 or Faherty.0@sbcglobal.net. I will be buying tickets on Sunday, May 20. Since the Brewers are playing against the Cubs, we have to get moving on this. Let me know if you are interested as we can carpool.
Spring Clean-up Day
Saturday, May 19, 9 am-1 pmWe will be sprucing up our property with new bark mulch and trimming and cleaning our planting beds. We will also be washing windows and dusting and cleaning.
Many hands will make light work! Bring your rakes, wheelbarrows, and shovels or your window washing and dusting supplies.
We will enjoy a light lunch together at noon. Please volunteer to help the property committee in this fun clean up event. There is a sign-up sheet located in the narthex.

The Gospel According to Mayberry is coming to Church of the Resurrection this June!
Join Pastor Kimberly to view an episode (or 2!) of The Andy Griffith Show followed by informal conversation about the ethical issues and biblical principles lifted up in each episode.
This special Bible study will take place during Vacation Bible School the week of June 11-14.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Really! We’re not kidding! The Vacation Bible School committee is on the hunt for adult, teen and adolescent volunteers to fill the following positions:
- 1st-2nd grade guide
- 3rd-4th grade guide
- Helper in the craft area
- Nursery worker
The guides follow each class of students as they move from station to station, helping them as needed. The nursery worker…well, he or she plays with the little ones while their parents are volunteering or attending Bible study.
To volunteer or sign up your child to participate, register at churchoftheresurrection.org.
"By the Sea" is the title of the Children's Annual Spring Musical to be presented on Sunday, May 13 at the 10 am service.
During the musical, three Seekers, each with her own special needs, will be looking for Jesus to heal them. In song and story, we will hear of several incidents from the life of Jesus that took place along the shores of the Sea of Galilee. This year's musical includes an inter-generational cast! We hope you will be able to join us for this special day.
