GDPR: protecting you online
From 25th May 2018 new laws come into force in Europe. You have the right to know what data is held about you online, to access, amend or delete it, and the right “not to be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling”. (more detail here).
For people collecting data, we have to tell you how we will use the data, get your agreement to that use, and we can't use it for anything else. It's called 'explicit consent'.
I only collect email addresses, and I use them to send you this newsletter. I don't use the data for anything else. The addresses are stored on MailChimp, which has implemented GDPR (more here). I only have your email if you signed up for my newsletter via my website or blog (both use MailChimp) or requested it on paper, in person, at an event like Open Studios.
You can unsubscribe at any time, by clicking on the link below, and your data will also be deleted.
