Summer Concert: Aug. 10th
Sandtimer from the UK
We are so excited to be on an "international tour schedule" for Sandtimer, that we want to send an early reminder to save the date for our summer concert this year. Sandtimer is a British indie-folk band formed by Hampshire-based musicians Robert Sword and Simon Thomas. Featuring close vocal harmonies and intricate, Appalachian-infused guitar textures, Sandtimer aim to combine innovative, left-field ideas with classic songcraft to create something at once edgy and familiar.
After touring around the UK, Canada and Germany and releasing two EPs, Different Seas and Mackerel- both featured by a variety of stations and blogs including BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing, Alex Rainbird and TMRW Magazine- the band will release their first full-length album in late 2018. Come see them in our Yard Space on August 10th at 6:30pm. (event page)

Monica found this incredible documentary to screen here in Calgary. Even When I Fall is a film about the resilient women of Nepal who have been trafficked to India and returned to create Circus Kathmandu. Watch the trailer here and pencil in the date September 25th at 18:30pm at The Plaza in Kensington. (event page)
