It's Grad Appreciation Week! Our last event is tonight!

Family bowling night - Have a few extra hours to SPARE? Bring your family and friends to the final event of Grad Appreciation Week; Bowling Night! Hosted in the GUTTERS (basement) of the Memorial Union, this event is FREE, including shoe rentals, to all graduate students and their families. STRIKE up a new conversation with your fellow students, prove that you are the KINGPIN of OSU, or SPLIT some snacks with friends. This event will be a BALL, and the final hour will be a COSMIC BOWLING extravaganza. Join us! 6 to 8 p.m.

New times for most of our drop-ins in spring term. Plus a new library research consulting drop-in!

Mondays, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Does my study require IRB review? What are some common mistakes I should avoid in my application? Get your questions answered at the drop-in IRB student advising hours.

Tuesdays, 9 to 11 a.m., Statistics Consulting Appointments
Stats got you stuck? Consulting is available to students working on projects. Get help designing or analyzing your study from Ph.D. statistics student Mike Dumelle. Sign up for an appointment online.

Tuesdays, 1-3 pm, Library Research Consulting
Do you have questions about your literature or systematic review? Not sure how best to manage and organize your sources and data? Drop in for help with a wide range of library research questions.

Thursdays, 12-3 pm, Writing Help Appointments
Need writing help? Schedule a writing appointment with the Graduate Writing Center and meet them at the GSSC. Make an appointment at writing.oregonstate.edu.

Thursdays, 1 to 2 p.m., Mindful Grad Meditation Series
Graduate school can be overwhelming. Making mindfulness part of your routine can help reduce some of this stress and encourage a healthier, more focused you. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) invites all graduate students to a weekly drop-in meditation session. Drop in and de-stress!

The Graduate Student Success Center, located in the Memorial Union 203 (above the Javastop Café) features study and work spaces for graduate students in a quiet location. The GSSC is a joint project of the Graduate School and the Memorial Union. Drop-ins run weeks 2 to 10.

Inspiration Dissemination

This Sunday, May 6, Coral Cotto-Negrón from the College of Public Health and Human Sciences. ID features OSU graduate students and their work on Sunday nights at 7 p.m. on KBVR. Listen on their website or at 88.7 FM.

OSU Events

Spring Family Weekend - May 4, 5 and 6. Loads of activities, too many to list here.

Spring Family Weekend OSU150 campus open house - Many buildings are open from at least 1 to 4 p.m. on May 5, 2018. A map will be provided at the OSUPC Welcome Table. See all the activities on Saturday.

Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal on Human Rights, Fracking and Climate Change. May 14, 2018, 7 p.m. The Spring Creek Project welcomes acclaimed biologist, author, and cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber to deliver the keynote address on the opening day of the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal on Human Rights, Fracking and Climate Change at The Whiteside Theatre on May 14, 2018. The event is free, but you need to register via eventbrite.

Day of Caring/OSU Community Day of Service. Saturday May 19, 2018. The annual Day of Caring invites Oregon State students, staff, faculty, and their children/dependents to contribute to community through service projects focused on environmental restoration, food security, health and wellbeing, youth development, and more! The 2018 Day of Caring is co-sponsored by the OSU Alumni Association and United Way of Benton and Lincoln Counties. This event is offered in conjunction with the OSU Alumni Association's Community Day of Service which has nationwide projects for OSU Alumni. #BeaversGiveBack
