$10,000 Collected!
ATCC members were amazingly generous this past Sunday, and contributed a total of $10, 076.90 for the Generosity Sunday collection.  There was widespread participation from all ministries.

We are super encouraged, and thankful.  As Mike Gross exclaimed when he heard, "God is AWESOME!!"

The window of giving will remain open until May 13, for those who have not yet had a chance to give.

"At last the wall was completed to half its height around the entire city, for the people had worked with enthusiasm." Nehemiah 4:6

Landmark Baptism!
Kenonia Battle was baptized on April 29 at our outdoor service.  Kenonia is married, and has three children.  She is the ATCC’s first baptism of a resident of the city of Tuskegee!

Kenonia has an amazing story.  Her husband’s brother and sister became disciples in two different cities, unaware that they were a part of the same church.  Then their mother became a disciple.  Over the years, they shared their faith with Kenonia.  And Kenonia gradually began to respond.

A few months ago, they brought Kenonia to the ATCC.  It wasn’t long before she was wholeheartedly pursuing righteousness.  She began studying the Bible, and took the studies seriously.  She and her children were at every meeting of the church.  She was active in finding ways to get with other disciples.  Her husband began to come with her.

“She desired to repent from Day One,” said Marge Gross.  “I am impressed with how she pushed past her comfort zone, and her fear and mistrust of strangers, to be open and vulnerable.  I am also impressed by her desire to love like Jesus loves her.”

This desire has given Kenonia a new passion and purpose. “God gave me a second chance, so I want to let others know that they can have a second chance, too,” she said. "Being a disciple to me means that I get to be perfectly led by a perfect savior.  Also, I get a chance to fellowship with other disciples who love Jesus!  #JesusChristCrew# "

TU Baptism!
Tuskegee University student Eboni Ingham was baptized on Thursday, May 3 in Tuskegee Lake.  We will carry her story in the next newsletter.
