Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of May 7 and we want to show our teachers how much we care.  We have some special events planned for the week. One of them is a cookie bar in the break room, but we need your help.  PLEASE SIGN UP TO BAKE COOKIES FOR OUR TEACHERS.  Items should be delivered to the front office  Thurs May 10.  Find the details when you sign up here:

Nominations are now open for the 2018-2019 class of the Harvard Diversity Project - an Atlanta-based pipeline program that recruits, trains, and feeds minority youth into a prestigious summer institute at Harvard University.

APS Power Up Summer Program



Summer will be here before you know it.  Power Up Summer programs will help your child take summer to the next level. Whether your student is interested in science, cooking, technology, music, or art, Power Up is sure to have a session for every child to explore. Participation is FREE for most programs and breakfast, lunch, and transportation are included. Registration is now open for you to enroll your student. Cross Country Meeting 

There will be a XC Meeting in Coach Murray's Classroom on Tuesday, May 15th at 3:45pm.

This is for runners only (not parents). Coach Murray and Coach Naro have a 10-week training schedule for the athletes which starts on May 28. The team won't be meeting for official practices over the summer and all of it can be done on their own. Runners will receive the training schedule packets at the meeting on the 15th.

We celebrate our MJJ CO2018 Valedictorian / STAR Student-Richard Sims, Salutatorian-Victoria Thach and STAR Teacher-Mr. John Murray.



Amazing achievement by our Jaguar scholars...6, yes 6, of our scholars received their Associate Degree today from Atlanta Metro State  - Bianca, Victoria, Alacia, Dayjah, Marlene, & Vanessa....You make us all so proud!!



Congratulations to China Waldorf of the MJJ Track Tram for signing a letter of intent with South Carolina State University to continue her education and athletic Career on a full track scholarship.



Congratulations to Olivia Calder-Williams for landing an ALL-EXPENSES PAID internship this summer with The Nature Conservancy LEAF (Leaders in Environmental Action for the Future)!



Congratulations to Taryn Oneal for signing with Neosha Community College in Kansas to continue her Track Career.

Congratulations to our MJJ Baseball Jaguars on a wonderful season, culminating in our first trip to the State Playoffs!



Celebrating a historical season for our MJJ Boys Basketball Jaguars.

Congratulations to our awesome MJJ Ladies Volleyball Team on a great season. 



Our MJJ Rifle Team  Thank you to Sgt LeGrant for being such a great coach and mentor. Our team has new equipment and is looking forward to an amazing 2019 Season.

The PTSA plans activities and events throughout the year, as well as committee and staff support volunteer opportunities. In addition, funds raised by PTSA are available to teachers for mini-grants to support their educational efforts, to support hardship cases in our Jaguar family, and to show our appreciation to our hard-working faculty and staff.
