The Great Science Share

The Great Science Share for Schools is a national campaign to engage young people in sharing their science learning with new audiences.

The campaign aims to raise the profile of primary science and engineering, encourage child-led investigation and inspire young people into science and engineering. Working in partnership with the BBC Terrific Scientific Campaign, 2018 focuses in on the scientific and creative process of working scientifically.  Collaborating with many STEM organisations the GreatSciShare campaign brings us together in improving science achievement and attainment for young people.

A Great Science Share for Schools builds on learning young people are doing in their classrooms, playgrounds, homes and locality. It focuses on the questions they ask and embraces the way that they explore them. Over the past 6 years young people have shown how inspirational they are when they take part – showing how they talk and demonstrate their investigations, and how they can draw on a range of scientific and cultural approaches, including computer science, dance, song, art, PE etc.

With a national focus for 2018, GreatSciShare will take place on 19th June 2018 when anyone anywhere can take part. In school, at home or by attending a GSS Satellite event – just let us know where you are so we can support you further. For more details and to register your participation https://www.greatscienceshare.org/schools-share-2018/ There's a range of free resource downloads just waiting for you!
