What a month it has been!

It's official, folks: The busy season is upon us. While to many people, springtime means beautiful weather, a cue to start gardening, or anticipation of the end of the school year, to our team at the Wildlife Center, it means we are busy, busy, BUSY!

We're experiencing our usual influx of injured and orphaned wildlife this spring. Check out a few of our recent patients:

And as always, we encourage you to come find us on Facebook or Instagram, where we share behind-the-scenes photos, videos and more on a regular basis.

We hope you'll find time to come visit us soon. We love sharing our successes with you, because we know that we don't do this work alone. We rely on our supporters for nearly every aspect of our work, from the volunteers on shift at the Center 365 days per year, to those "accidental rescuers" who find animals in need and bring them to us for care. Our donors, volunteers, and supporters are what keep us going when the days are long and the cases are tough. It takes a whole community of people to serve our native wildlife, and we are so lucky to have you as part of our community.

See you soon,

CWC: Do you have a favorite or most memorable patient (past or present)?
JS: Generally speaking, any owl patient. Currently, I am really enjoying the turtles.

CWC: What is something that your shift may not know about you?
JS: That I do the crossword puzzle in the newspaper every day in ink.
