On June 24, 1973, a gay bar in New Orleans called the Up Stairs Lounge was deliberately set on fire: an event which held the title of "Largest Gay Mass Murder in U.S. History" for 43 years. Oxford Pride Parade
The Oxford Pride parade will begin and end at the University Depot parking lot. Parade participants will meet at 12:30 pm, and the parade will start at 2 pm. The parade will take Presidential Debate Way to University Avenue, then up to Lamar Blvd, around the Courthouse Square, and back to the Depot. All are welcome to march in the parade or line the route in support. 2 PM, Various Locations

New Orleans Todd Thunder (a.k.a Todd Shaffer) is multi-talented artist and actor. Before moving to New Orleans Todd was director of the Modern Primitive Art Gallery in Atlanta, GA, one of the nation’s leading galleries for outsider art in the south. He was responsible for gallery operations as well as corporate sales to the House of Blues Collection, the largest public art collection. “Let’s Make a Wheel of Bingo” is his own avant-garde, camp creation, and unique spin on America’s love affair with trivia and the game show!
