Welcome to spring
It looks like spring is finally here - or at least due to arrive soon. This means a lot of activity on the allotments as well as from the committee. Do expect more emails from us about specific activities.
April committee meeting
The minutes for our April committee meeting is now on our website.
Coffee and Cake
Our inaugural coffee and cake morning is now booked for Sunday 6 May from 10-12 in the shop. Come down and have a chat with some of your fellow allotment holders and maybe pick up a few tips for the season ahead. It will help enormously if you can let us know if you are planning to attend, either by responding to the event on Facebook or by emailing committee@caga.org.uk.
Working party
As you know, we keep the allotment rent very, very low. In order to keep doing this, we need to avoid hiring contractors to do upkeep on the allotments. That means we need everyone to help out a couple of times a year for a few hours to clear things, trim hedges and so forth.
Our first working party of 2018 will be on Saturday 5 May at 9:30am. We need your help to tidy up the communal areas and clear a few neglected plots. We will be providing bacon butties to all.

Equipment
We have had all our machines serviced and bought a new lawnmower for your use as well. In case you didn't know, we also have a rotavator and a hedge trimmer. This equipment is available for use by all allotment members, we just ask that you provide a small contribution to fuel and upkeep, and that you bring it back clean (we have a pressure washer to help with that as well, if you need it).
If you wish to use any of the equipment, please come down to the shop on any Sunday between 10 and 12.
