Important End of Year Information - 8th Grade Schedules and Events
The school year is quickly wrapping up and our 8th graders are looking forward to the exciting end of the year activities.  Please continue to remind your students to stay focused and on target for end of year success.  We are excited for their future as they transition to high school and want to make the final month of middle school a positive and memorable experience for them.
 
Please read each section below carefully to stay up to date on important information on schedules and events and contact our administration with any questions at administration@lutzprep.org.

8th Grade Dance - REMINDER TODAY AT 3:00 IS THE FINAL DEADLINE TO RSVP
Students, please join the 8th Grade Class of 2018 for a night of fun and dancing on the red carpet! 

Click on the button below to RSVP via Sign Up Genius, indicating your students name in the "comment" section.  You must R.S.V.P. for your student to attend this event.  Deadline to RSVP, Monday, May 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM.

This is a GRADUTE ONLY event, no guests.  Students will be dropped off at the door at 7:00 PM and picked up at 10:00 PM.

8th Grade Graduation
The graduation committee has been hard at work planning and coordinating the Lutz Preparatory 2018 8th Grade Graduation.  Below is all the information you will need to help us make this important night run as smoothly as possible.

Dress Code for Graduation Ceremony

• Girls dress are school appropriate dresses and dress shoes.  No short skirts, spaghetti straps, or strapless dresses.
• Boys dress are pants, collared shirt, tie, and dress shoes.
• Absolutely no sneakers or tennis shoes will be allowed.
• Those not dressed within the set guidelines are at risk of not being able to walk graduation night. 

Graduation Tickets
Tickets will be sent home with your 8^th grader on Thursday, May 17, 2018.  Each student will receive 5 tickets for their guests to attend the ceremony (graduates DO NOT need a ticket to attend).

Graduation Day at School
On the day of graduation, 8^th grade students will have the option of a 1:00 PM Early Release.  Those who remain on campus will stay with 8^th grade teachers until regular dismissal.  Per policy, students may not be signed out after 2:30 PM.

Graduation Ceremony

• Thursday, May 24, 2018:  Steinbrenner High School Auditorium, 5575 W Lutz Lake Fern Rd, Lutz, FL 33558
• Student arrival:  5:15 PM, students will meet at the auditorium entrance
• Doors open for guest arrival at 5:30 PM, please be seated in the auditorium by 5:50 PM
• Ceremony:  6:00-7:30 PM
• Refreshments:  7:30-7:45 PM

It is at Steinbrenner’s request that for the safety of all families that we park in the lots behind the BOYS LOCKER ROOM and enter through the walk way along rooms 606-603 and the cafeteria.  There will be student volunteers to help guide the way.  There is also a map included in this email that you can print and give to family.

During the graduation ceremony we ask that you stay seated for the safety and respect of other guests.  We will have a professional photographer taking pictures of all graduating students.  The pictures will be edited and full resolution photos delivered via link to Amazon cloud for download in about a week.  The school will email you the link when they are ready for download.  You are more than welcome to snap pictures from your seat.

Post Graduation Day
Friday, May 25, 2018 is a non-student day FOR 8th GRADE STUDENTS ONLY.  Eighth grade teachers will be finalizing grades and cleaning classrooms to prepare for the summer.
