Leslie Neumann

Two side by side exhibitions at the Morean Arts Center in May and June highlight contemporary concerns for land conservation. Each show, in different ways, points to the necessity to PROTECT our natural environment and PROTEST behaviors and policies that damage our planet.

“Manna from Heaven – and Earth,” a One-Person Exhibition by Leslie Neumann celebrates the raw beauty of nature, while
“Water Over the Bridge,” a group show, features artists from the NYC Metro area and Tampa Bay whose artwork addresses climate change and rising sea levels.

I have a vested interest in maintaining my own piece of paradise in Aripeka, Florida.  Hence, I continue my unrelenting commitment (now 27 years) to preserving sensitive coastal lands in West Central Florida.

My parents instilled in me these dual primary objectives: follow your dreams and do good in the world.  It’s easy to fulfill both of these objectives with my longtime association (now almost 25 years!) with the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, which offers all kinds of opportunities for immersion in art.
Our motto: Discover the Artist Within.
Please join us for a gallery talk on May 4th at noon at the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art with Artist Leslie Neumann and Docent Kimen Mitchell. Free with Admission to museum.
