ALDERMASTON HISTORY GROUP

Agreed Group Objectives:

To provide a focus and forum for all those interested in the history of the Aldermaston area and promote the understanding through researching, collating, preserving, celebrating and presenting any information and items of interest.

Our 1st quarterly meeting will be held on Wednesday 13th June at 19:30 in the Hinds Head "Officers Mess" function room.

Heritage Open Day - 9th September

9th September 2018

Planning is underway by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) to have the St Mary's Church open all day and currently the History Group hope to open the Lock-up next to the Hinds Head pub.



Volunteers are needed for:
- Stewarding at both venues on the day (1hr slots)
- Preparation of any exhibits for both venues

100 Years of World War 11 November 2018

There will be a national tribute to the end of World War 1 on 11 November 2018, with "ringing out of peace" and beacons of light being lit across the country.

A small group will be co-ordinating the Aldermaston commemorations, anyone interested in being involved, please let Karen Dignan know, secretary@aldermastonhistory.uk
