SECOND FLOOR CASTING BEGINNING SOON

Finally, the cement mixer is on site and ready to go if they can keep the engine running. This could be the day the casting is completed, however mechanical difficulty has made it necessary to get a mechanic from Monrovia. We will see.

After the casting, a three week waiting period is in place before adding the walls for the second story. In that time the roof will be put in place over the portion that is one story. After the whole building is under roof the second phase will be complete with one phase to go!!

Without your prayers and financial support this could not happen. Praise God the $55,000 budgeted for this second phase has been raised!!! We have worked hard to keep this phase within budget and it is going to be close. Please continue in prayer for this and the strength and health of our Liberian co-workers.

Pole after pole after pole go in place to make sure there is adequate support for the casting of the second floor. This is a great deal of work to make sure all the casting will be successful. The casting itself is done in one continuous run, bucket after bucket of cement lifted in position and poured.

RETURN STATESIDE

In just a few days we will be returning stateside to get Ken's follow-up medical check. There will be a great deal of work being done here while we are away. We will be looking forward to visiting with many of you and make plans for what it will take to do the third and final phase of the gathering center at Fair Shake Village. The timing of our return will depend on the grace of God and the medical results.

Beside keeping the Gathering Center project on track, Ken continues preaching and teaching and Carolyn continues encouraging the deaf school and increasing her sign language ability by having one of the deaf students come two times a week and tutor her. What fun!!!

1. Praise Him for the completion of the first floor walls and second floor support structure without incident. He protected everyone!!

2. Praise Him for the goal of $55,000 for this second phase being reached!! By His grace!!!

3. Praise Him for the strength to keep on keeping on in busy times.

4. Petition Him for the unreached/less-reached peoples that are represented in Liberia, which includes the deaf community.

5. Petition Him for the casting of the second floor at the Gathering Center. There are many ongoing challenges with break downs and uncommitted machine operators.

6. Petition Him for safe travel stateside and a good medical report for Ken's checkup.
