Did you know there are 6,000 Greek Islands, but only 227 are inhabited?
It's hardly surprising that the Greek Islands are seeing a surge in popularity this year. From Feta, Olives and Ouzo to white-washed houses, beautiful beaches and world heritage sites... they have it all!
We highlight a few favourites:
Santorini - a couples retreat, oozing with romance Zante - beautiful beaches, ship wrecks and turtles Corfu - family friendly and delightful Skiathos - simply stylish! Crete - fab beaches. The largest of them all Mykonos - lively and lovely Rhodes - packed with ancient history Kefalonia - featured in war film, Captain Corelli's Mandolin
If you want to discover beyond the islands then Olympus Riviera could be for you...a 70km stretch of coastline located on mainland Greece's eastern coast.
"We challenge anyone to resist that infectious fun and fiery Latino rhythm that pulses throughout the continent, and not come home ready to go back for more!" Mary He, Trade Sales and Marketing Executive. Wendy Wu
This special Wendy Wu blog shines a spotlight on seven countries of South America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru, picking out highlights and top sights, including the Amazon Rainforest and mighty Iguacu.
10 Tips for planning a succesful Round the World trip
Research well! Read up with brochures, blogs, travel guides and speak to your local travel agent for first hand knowledge and inspiration.
Be flexible: Arrange the countries you want to visit geographically as a basis of an itinerary. Avoid zig-zagging.
Make decisions. Determine what your 'must sees' are and what is 'desirable' but not essential
Set a budget Your style of travel and experiences can be tailored to the money you have to spend, from luxury cruise ships to low cost airlines
Keep it realistic: What is do-able on the budget you have to spend.
Decide when you will travel? Think about seasonality and the best time to visit or avoid certain destinations. Be aware of festivals and public holidays too.
How much time do you have? The less time you have the more focused you'll need to be. Book excursions and tours in advance. Replace overland travel with direct flights etc.
Be organised. Check out visa requirements and immunisations and arrange appropriately.
Book early. The earlier you book scheduled flights the cheaper they will be. Seats are released 11 months in advance.

A quick guide to round the world airfares
You'll discover RTW doesn't have to be Round the World i.e. you don't have to fly in a one way circle. For example you can get to Australia and back without going via the USA
RTW tickets provide better value than booking individual flights but be aware of limitations affecting routes and fares e.g. total milage covered, number of continents visited, amount of stops permitted
Tickets are often llimited to destinations served by airline alliance groups. This cooperation beween airlines offers a better choice of destinations and smoother connections. The borrowing of seats is called codeshare
You can break a RTW ticket up with sectors of overland travel. i.e. Into Johannesburg and out of Capetown. Into Auckland and out of Christchurch saving on air miles. We can book your accommodation, tours, railways tickets
The more flexible a ticket the greater the price.
Remember return dates can often be changed. The departure date is key. For cheaper tickets avoid peak times like Christmas or events like The World Cup
Example itinerary: London - Singapore - Perth// (surface travel) // Sydney - Bangkok - London

Global wine night
Last month the team got together for a wine-tasting social at The Wine Shop in Winscombe. We sampled and learnt about wines from around the world (out of hours training!). Who would have thought our favourite Red was produced in Surrey though!
A very pleasant evening was had by all
