Please be informed that the 3rd of May has been declared PRESS FREEDOM DAY by the United Nations. The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada, in collaboration with our sister organization the National News Media Council is organizing a special tribute and a salutation for this day. We are celebrating that day at the Rotunda of Toronto City Hall, on Friday May the 4th, from 6 to 10:30.
Invitations have been extended to the leaders of all political parties to participate in the event.
John Fraser, the Chair of the National NewsMedia Council of Canada will be our main speaker.
