Our Spring Exhibition is a bright and cheerful one, full of vibrant colours and diverse themes, showcasing a wide range of artworks selected through open submission, including paintings, textile art, mixed media, sculpture, prints and photography.
The Willow Gallery has been bringing contemporary art to Oswestry since 2012, with regularly-changing exhibitions supporting new and emerging local artists alongside more established names, and we are proud to play a dynamic role in the cultural life of Oswestry. Our current exhibition will remain until 26 May, so please drop in and take a look; meanwhile, here's a further small selection:

A striking sculptural installation, THE STONES, by textile artist/wordsmith Jan Wallis, is a circle of enigmatic, textural, near-lifesize figures waiting to tell their stories. These form the basis for a performance that will take place place around the circle by members of Llangollen Storytelling Café.
Venue: Willow Gallery
Performance: 2pm, Saturday 19 May
This is a free event: Everyone welcome

LIVE MUSIC AT THE WILLOW
We greatly value the support we receive for all our live events. Without this, the Gallery would not be able to continue to present such a wonderful range of music and other performances throughout the year.

Friday 25 May
Dan Walsh Trio
One of the best banjo players around and an accomplished vocalist, songwriter and guitarist, Dan is joined by award-winning fiddler Ciaran Algar and mandolin virtuoso Nic Zuppari. At the heart of the trio’s sound is British, Irish and American folk, with influences drawn from jazz, funk, blues and rock. Add to that poignant songs, exhilarating improvisation and sparky humour, and the result promises to be a memorable show featuring three of the most in-demand musicians on the folk scene today.
'Absolutely terrific’ Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2
'His banjo playing is second to none in the UK and he'd put many to shame in the US too' R2 Magazine

ABOUT US
Centrally-located in Oswestry, the former car showroom is an artist-led, not-for-profit gallery space dedicated to the community. Open all year, the Gallery displays ever-changing exhibitions where you can seek out and buy original artworks as well as meet our talented artists-in-residence and talk to them about their work.
Other regular events include live music, workshops, talks and craft fairs. In the Gallery Shop, we stock a range of prints, greetings cards and artisan wares, including jewellery, glass, woodcraft and ceramics.
Our on-site Eatery is one of Oswestry's favourite cafés with comfortable seating and friendly staff. Here you can enjoy cracking coffee and eat delicious cakes, snacks and meals prepared daily and cooked on the premises. The café is licensed and serves excellent beers, wines and soft drinks.
Gift vouchers and other gift ideas
Gift vouchers can be bought for any amount and be redeemed in both the Gallery and the Shop. Booking a place for a friend on one of our artist-run workshops can also make an original and rewarding gift - or treat a music-loving friend or family member to a ticket for one of our live music events. Gift vouchers are also available for the Willow Eatery and a lovely way to make someone's day.
A venue to suit your occasion
Use our spacious Dunbabin Room for your own event. Accommodating up to 50 people, it's ideal for workshops, talks, meetings, parties and celebrations, while its clear hard floor and high ceiling are perfect for dance and fitness classes.
