Steps to Recovery Homes is holding our Annual Erase the Stigma event on June 30, 2018, at the Cottonwood Recreational Center, 150 S. 6th St. in Cottonwood, Arizona, from from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
As you may be aware, addiction and mental health are not only a huge community issue, but an epidemic at the state and national levels. This free event to the public, is focused on fostering understanding with our community and helps demonstrate positive ways to approach addiction and mental health, how they coexist, and what resources and solutions are available.
Over 175 people attended last year’s event and hope to have an even bigger turn out this year. We will have keynote speakers, food, refreshments and day passes to the Rec Center available to those who attend. We know that the more people who have an understanding about these issues, the more assistance can be provided and the healthier our communities will be.
