NIAGARA FALLS, ON - Join us in a fun and exciting event educating students on pollinators and their effect on our environment. The event will be led by Renee Delaney from Small Scale Farms in partnership with the Park in the City Committee.

  • WHAT: The Schools In Bloom Seed Bomb Event is an exciting way for students to be involved and have a hands-on learning experience in their community. Students will create hand-made mud balls packed with sunflower seeds and then throw them along a prepared ground area at the Fairview Cemetery.

  • WHERE: Fairview Cemetery, 4501 Stanley Avenue, Niagara Falls ON L2E 4Z6

  • WHEN: Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Event will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m.

  • WHO: Participating schools include: Westlane Secondary School and Saint Mary Catholic Elementary.

  • WHY: The Schools In Bloom Seed Bomb Event helps students learn about pollinators and their effects on our environment. Sunflowers produce plant matter from carbon dioxide and various environmental nutrients. They attract honey bees and have a long blooming season.
