May, 2018. All FRONT
It's May! I made it through the winter and am possibly the happiest person in Cleveland now that spring has finally broken. 🌞  My garden, which I call The Prairie and my husband calls The Jungle is growing 5 inches every day. The raspberries, planted only last year, look strong, bushy, and are pushing beyond where I expected and into other plants. The 100 bulbs I planted a bit later than ideal still bloomed.

Brittany Hudak wrote a lovely article about me in her CAN Journal series, MAKERS. It's worth taking a look even if only for the stellar images of my messy studio.

FRONT news
Besides the sun, it's no surprise, the biggest thing on my mind right now is Hear Her Sports Glenville, the audio documentary I’m producing for FRONT. Even though progress has been slow, a crazy thought passed through my mind last week: let’s find 100 girls and women from, living, or working in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood.

Please spread the word. That is a lot of awesome, sporty females to find and talk to.

It can be unnerving to talk on tape. But really it's fun. I like to listen and always love talking about physical activity with women of all ages. These conversations digress to other topics and I'm more than happy to hear any story told.

Plus, I clean up the recordings so they sound great and everyone sounds as smart as they are. You would be surprised at how much we don’t hear in normal conversation. For example, I tend to repeat the beginning of sentences (often multiple times). Most of that ends up on the cutting room floor.
