You, the stock center owners, requested that we link all relevant RRIDs to your pages describing the animals. This month I would like to announce that we have fully implemented your request.
**Scientists reading a paper just want to find relevant animals, we don't want to get in their way**
Q1: ...but what about the old journal articles that used to point to SciCrunch pages?
A1: Every RRID for every stock center that is linked in every paper will be directed to your web pages.
Q2: I found an RRID that is not properly linked to my pages, can this be fixed?
A2: It depends on the kind of error, sometimes the author put in the wrong number, sometimes the journal typesetting was not correct, please contact us to let us know what problem you found. Some errors are fixable.
Q3: I found a paper with my RRIDs that is not linked at all, can those papers ever be updated?
A3: Unfortunately the act of typesetting occurs at the journal at the time of publication, this is when links go in. Not all journals have implemented and some can't even bear the minimal cost of implementing RRID typesetting. So what can be done? We do provide live public links to readers via Hypothes.is, please click to see an example, which is also demonstrated below.
We look forward to seeing more RRIDs in linked in many journals.
