Edition 161

A number of clubs have been penalised one point already this season for incomplete or non-reporting of results inside the 7 days deadline. We used to have a much stricter requirement but have relaxed it to 7 days to give clubs more time.

Please make sure you have clearly read the rules (see below) for results reporting this season. It would be a shame for a club not to win their league because they haven't followed the correct procedures. In many of the league you are now required to enter full scorecards. Both teams must do this, not just the winning team as the opposition club often doesn't have the players listed on their Play-Cricket page. If you score matches electronically with full player names added, this should make this problem much easier for everyone involved.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Unfortunately we are unable to cancel any deductions once applied.

Effingham CC have invested in a superb PA system and would like to encourage other clubs to hire it from them. They are offering very reasonable rates, much less than professional hirers, and they would like to help other clubs put on great events at less cost at the same time as recouping some of their investment. They have put the details onto a page on their website: http://effinghamcc.co.uk/contact/pa-sound-system-hire/.
