Kingston Town Meeting continues – support Article 16!
This Thursday, May 17 at 7 PM

@ Kingston Intermediate School (65 2nd Brook St., Kingston MA)

Please come to help support the historic preservation of the Stephen Drew House! Jones River Landing is asking the Kingston Community Preservation fund support in the amount of $125,000 to help us purchase the original house of the Jones River Landing shipyards.

The Drew House is the third Motion within the CPC Article 16.

This purchase will greatly help the Landing preserve and promote the maritime history of the river while at the same time expand our ability to support education and public programs. The funding will be used to secure the property while we raise the additional funds needed to complete the purchase and perform necessary repairs. The Drew House is across the street from the Major John Bradford House, and was built about the same time as the Brig Independence, the first commissioned ship of the Continental Navy.

We are still calling on our dedicated counters to return and for new volunteers to join us in this important year – if you've got at least 10 minutes to spare before June 2nd, you can be part of the effort! Training provided if needed.
