Spade Oak is situated just inland of Poverty Bay in Gisborne on sun soaked flats true to Gizzy's golden sunshine . Tasting Note
50% Syrah, 45% Tempranillo, 5% Viognier.
A decadent deep maroon colour with purple hues. On the nose vanilla, cardamon and cedar. On the palate blackberries, cinnamon, aniseed, oak and a spicy tobacco kick - reminiscent of a humidor and leather gloves to me. Great concentration and depth on the palate with a long finish. The wine has been aged in 25% new French Oak.On special at $19.50 per bottle.
