The Older Adult Wellness Fair is this Friday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon at Charles Whitlock Recreation Center, 1555 Dover St. Stop in to chat with vendors, enjoy free demonstrations, screenings and fitness classes geared toward adults age 55 and older.

Weed 'Em Out Volunteer Event on Saturday, May 19
Volunteer pulling weeds
Join park staff and other area experts to learn about the threats associated with invasive weed species and the efforts being taken to combat them. Then, put your new knowledge to work and help staff remove some of these invaders from Belmar Park. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration is required online at Lakewood.org/BCLPEvents.
CLOSURE NOTICE: Indoor Pools Closed Friday and Saturday

The indoor pools at all four Lakewood recreation centers - Carmody, Charles Whitlock, Green Mountain and Lakewood Link - will be closed this Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, for staff training. We apologize for the inconvenience. The other areas of these facilities will be open as usual. Note: There is limited parking at Carmody Recreation Center through Thursday, May 17. Street parking is available on Kipling St. and Warren Ave.
