IEA Program Update

2018-19 IEA Program Applications Update

Applications for students to participate in the IEA Program for the 2018-19 school year are now closed. The department received 135 parent/student applications to enroll in the IEA Program for the 2018-19 school year; 96 student applications have been approved.

The release date for the IEA Program student applications for the 2019-20 school year will be announced through the IEA Update.

Applications for private schools to participate in the IEA Program for the 2018-19 school year will be open year-round. So far, four private schools have been approved to participate in the IEA Program and are included on the list of 2018-19 participating schools posted on the IEA webpage (here).

2018–19 IEA Parent & Private Schools Handbooks

The 2018–19 IEA Parent Handbook and 2018-19 Private Schools Handbook are now posted on the IEA web page (here). There have been numerous changes to the handbooks from the prior year’s editions based on feedback from parents, private schools, and other stakeholders.

All IEA account holders and approved parent/student applicants must read the 2018–19 IEA Parent Handbook in its entirety before signing the 2018–19 IEA Account Holder Contract.

All participating school principals must read both the 2018–19 IEA Parent Handbook and 2018-19 Private Schools Handbook.

Vocational Rehabilitation Program (VR)
VR provides a variety of individualized services to persons with disabilities in preparation for their employment in the competitive labor market. VR advocates employment outcomes for clients that are consistent with their individual strengths, resources, abilities, capabilities, and informed choice.
