We are SO excited to introduce you to our precious son, Cassius Dan Duran! Cassius was born on April 9th at 4:27pm, weighing a whopping 9.3lbs, 21 inches long. I (Kristin) had a healthy labor and delivery, and although recovery has been slow, we are overwhelmed with love and delight everyday.
In general, Cassius has been sleeping well through the night (I have to set my alarm to wake him up for feedings!) and loves to be snuggled through the day. He has just started purposefully smiling, and it is an incredible joy!! If you're in the Austin area, let's coordinate a good time to get together so you can meet him, and if you're in El Paso, we'll be home later this summer. Thank you for your happiness and prayers for us as we've entered into this beautiful new phase of our lives.

For the last several months, we've had a growing desire to plant a new campus chapter (and even dream about future church planting) in El Paso. As we've taken these desires before God and our leadership, we've been amazed to see doors open wide with the UTEP athletic department, specifically the football team. As a result, we've decided to pursue more training to prepare us for a potential future move in 2020.
This summer, we're transitioning from working in San Marcos to working in Austin, where Dan will receive training from our Every Nation church and will help pioneer a new campus chapter at St. Edwards University (he'll also work once a week at UT Austin). Once I finish my maternity leave, I will continue to work with our missions department, Ten Days Missions, and also learn the ropes of planting a new campus chapter alongside Dan. We've intentionally scheduled trips back to El Paso throughout the next year so that we can develop our relationships on the UTEP campus. It's an exciting new season and would love your prayers! We will update you on the journey as we continue, but please call or email us with any questions. We couldn't do any of this without you!
