WINDOWS FOR WOODCLIFF!

As promised, we are sending out our weekly update on the progress of our Campaign to replace windows and doors at Woodcliff.

One of the questions we have been asked is, "Why the rush?"  Well, Council has identified the need to complete this work, and there is a cost savings if we complete as much of it as we can all at once. We have funds put aside to address the costs, as long as they are matched by funds raised from the congregation.  This work typically cannot be done in the winter months, so in order  have this work done this year, we need to know how much money we can spend.  There is a long wait when ordering glass, so once we have the funds in place, and have approved the work to be done, and ordered the material, there will be several months before we can have new windows and doors installed.  That is why our campaign has a finite ending date.

Another question has been, "How does the envelope thing work?"   We thought it might be fun to find a way to encourage giving.  We know every single one of us will give what we are able to.  One way of addressing that is to allow you to take an envelope that is hanging on the wall in the Narthex.  That amount is completely up to you.  Place your donation (either cash or cheque) in the envelope and place it in the offering plate on Sunday morning (please do not put the envelope back up on the wall).

But you do not need an envelope to give.  You can pay online through our website:
www.woodcliffunited.com  Click on "Give" and follow the directions (do not use a $ sign).  There is a place called "Notes (optional)" - use the word "windows".

Or, you can e-transfer the money to Woodcliff at:  office@woodcliffunited.com  Use the security answer "windows".

It's that easy!

So we promised to update you each week with how we are doing.  Last week, we collected $1,128.  This week, we have collected an additional $6,428, giving us a grand total of $7,556.00!  Again we thank each and every one of you for your generous giving.  We would like to send out a special shout-out to the Thirsty Thursday group.  Together, they pooled their resources and donated $150.00 to the campaign.  Every donation is gratefully acknowledged and received. Every envelope donation this Sunday May 13 will receive a beautiful piece of artwork created by our Woodcliff children.

Stop by the Narthex and watch our window open each week as we track our progress.

Blessings to you,

The Stewardship Committee
