All Party Group discusses Marathon Concerns

This issue was discussed at the All Party Group on Sport & Physical Recreation at the NI Assembly on 23rd April with all in attendance issuing their support for sports governing bodies who will be impacted by such changes. The APG is to seek immediate discussions with the relevant authorities to limit the detrimental impact this legislation will have across a wide range of sporting and community events.

Belfast City Council Small Grants Programme

Belfast City Council small grants programme which provides development grants, hospitality grants and grants for individuals is now open. They will be holding information sessions across Belfast to advise applicants on funding and assessment criteria during May.

Ulster Ladies Gaelic seek Assistant Development Officer

The post holder will assist the Development Officer in leading the games development and coaching work within Ulster Ladies GAA. They will integrate within the structures and staffing of the Ulster GAA as part of the integration and co-operation programme within the Gaelic games programme in
Ulster.

Belfast City Council seek new reps for Shared City Parnership

Belfast City Council has established the Shared City Partnership to meet its obligation in the promotion of good relations and to strategically advise council on these issues. The Shared City Partnership is made up of elected members, statutory bodies, and a range of sectors including the faith, community, voluntary, trade unions and private sectors.
