Wildlife often goes unnoticed, taken for granted, or thought of as pests. In our busy lives, we forget how much we depend on wildlife to maintain balance in the natural world, and how much our wild neighbors depend on us to protect and preserve them and their habitats. Learn about direct human impacts on wildlife and how each of us can reduce our footprint and co-exist with our wild neighbors.

Kathy Zagzebski is the President and Executive Director of the National Marine Life Center in Bourne. She holds a Masters from Duke University, is a member of the Society of Marine Mammalogy, and sits on the board of the Massachusetts Marine Educators’ Association.

Stephanie Ellis is the Executive Director of Wild Care, a wildlife rehabilitation hospital located in Eastham. Stephanie has an enormous wealth of knowledge and passion for avian rehabilitation and conservation.
