Shavuot is upon us, and do we have quite the week planned!
- Later today (16:00), there is a Yom Yerushalayim Happening in Park Ramon. Free Entrance for all!
- Thursday is Yom Hastudent: Burning Stage, and the Student Union has teamed up with 8 other colleges to make it happen. Sarit Hadad, Aviv Gefen, and Ayal Golan will be there, as well as some others we’ve personally never heard of. Best of all, tickets for Agudah members are just 20NIS!
- Our annual Shavuot All Nighter is this Saturday Night, and the shiurim schedules and gate times have been posted. If that’s not enough, Moshe Peretz will be performing the next day!
- June 7th, the Chesed Committee is organizing a Sports Tournament, replete with co-ed soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s football. All proceeds go to tzedaka, and there should be some fun, symbolic prizes for the winners. Check back soon for more details.
- Also in June, Pikud Ha’oref is giving a Workshop on Emergency Preparedness for English-speakers. If all goes well, we’ll be all set before Iran’s next barrage of miss-iles.
- Turns out Givat Shmuel’s education is ranked first in Israel. Nice to know our Arnona money is being put to good use.
We’ve also got two top-secret announcements regarding new community services, and another one that will have a huge impact on the Givat Shmuel Community’s future, but it looks like that will have to wait until next week.
