Welcome to the Portsmouth Cycle Forum newsletter for January 2016. In this issue we bring you news about our next meeting, our goals for 2016 and lots more.
Dear <<First Name>>,

Welcome to the very brief May 2018 Portsmouth Cycle Forum newsletter.

To continue receiving our news on anything cycle related in Portsmouth, we need to have your permission again. If you've  not done this already, Please follow the link below:
Our next indoor meeting will be on Thursday 21 June.  We'll send out details nearer the time.

Portsmouth Cycle Forum is a volunteer group, always looking for new people to get involved. Remember we are an independent campaign group and depend entirely on subscriptions to keep going.

Near Misses

Portsmouth City Council has a pilot project for reporting near misses.

This can be any close contact with vehicles that can be annoying or even scary, but doesn’t result in an accident or collision. It could range from anything where you – or a driver – has had to take avoiding action, to where a driver has overtaken too close for comfort. Other examples might be driver overtaking then suddenly turning left – a left hook – or someone opening a car door in front of you.  There are plenty of other options you can choose.

The PCC website has a really simple form to fill in here. They monitor this regularly and using the data to inform them about potential danger spots where there is no accident data.

However, this is a pilot, so we need to show it is important to continue this service. If it’s not used more it is likely to be discontinued.  USE IT OR LOSE IT!

PCF Mailing List URGENT!

We’ve had reports that not everyone could re-register their details to stay on our mailing list. We’ve looking at the reasons why. If you can, please use Google Chrome.

To make clear, when you click on the first link, it will take you to a form to complete. After this you will get a new email, with a link to confirm you want to submit your details. This takes you to a new page to confirm this.

There is nothing further you need to do, unless you want to unsubscribe, which is an option we provide on any of our newsletters.

If you've not done this already, re-register here!

#LetPompeyBreathe!

We’ve reported before about Portsmouth’s appalling record on pollution. There are parts of the city where the level of pollutants regularly exceed safe limits.

A petition has now been launched to demand the city council tackles this.
