CONTINUED WORK

This is the time of year when our prayer letters become highly repetitive.  Most camp activities come to a screeching halt due to cold and wet weather and we start investing more time into the camp facilities.

The main projects this year have been:
  • Nazareth Triplex Cabin - donations came in to turn our current rec-room into three cabins with bathrooms.  There was quite a bit of destruction to be done first.  As weather permitted, we added on the plumbing for the three bathrooms and poured the extra slab.
  • New Camp Staff House:  At this point in the project, we have the main structure up and roofed.
  • Heated Main Building:  Last year we installed radiators into our main meeting place/dining hall.  This year, a water furnace was donated to help with heating not only the large meeting room, but also the cooks and service staff rooms.
  • Soccer/Playing Field:  In early fall, we hired a big tractor to turn over the sand/dirt on our soccer field, then we seeded it.  It's been fun to see the grass grow little by little over the course of the fall months (see above picture)
Please continue to pray for strength and wisdom as we manage and administrate God's resources here on camp.  This year, we have organized monthly work days which have been a big help and give the churches in the area an opportunity to serve in a pratical way.  We also welcome work teams from the US and Canada.  If you or your church is interested in coming, just send us an email and we can help work out the details.

Sometimes you need a bigger tool!
Last month we asked you to pray for the upcoming church leadership training meetings that would be held monthly here on camp.   It was exciting to see a good turnout with four churches represented.  While Danny taught the men in the dining hall, Liz started a Bible study with the ladies in our home. We enjoyed the fellowship that followed the teaching time.

We would ask that you continue to pray for the country churches in our area and for our involvement in the teaching and mentoring ministry God has allowed us to have with them.
FURLOUGH PLANS

As our financial and prayers partners we want to keep you up to speed on our furlough plans.  Lord willing, we plan on setting aside April to October 2019 for visiting and reporting back to you.  Please pray for the ministry and for our family as we make plans.  Danny's parents have graciously accepted to fill-in for us a couple Sundays a month in the Lican church which is a huge blessing  to us.
Specific Prayer Requests

Please join us in prayer for:
  • work teams to join us and enable us to advance faster on the many projects on camp (please message us for more info)
  • grace to love God's church in Lican and wisdom to lead and teach them
  • the monthly lay leaders training seminars
  • joy and diligence in daily tasks, school, emails, etc.
Thank you again for your part in the ministry of the gospel here in southern Chile.  We give thanks for your obedience in praying and asking God to send forth laborers into his harvest field.  Rejoice with us and please continue to pray for His leading and sustaining as we serve Him and his church in camp ministry here in Chile.
