Unless you've been hiding in your writing cave (read: living under a rock), you'll have heard of GDPR. Or at least, you'll have gotten several emails in the past few days from companies updating their privacy policy. Boring, right?
That's what we thought. So on top of updating our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, we wanted to take this opportunity to do something meaningful. We want you to get the most value out of our newsletters — and we get that you’ll care about different things depending on where you are in your writing journey.
So, what's changing?
We're radically changing how we send newsletters so that you have greater choice over the topics you want to learn more about. Starting next week, we're rolling out four types of newsletters:
- Writing craft: a digest of the top writing advice from our blog (max 1 email every other week)
- Understanding publishing: the latest news and advice on self- and traditional publishing (max 1 email every other week)
- Book design: tips from our designers and notifications about our famous cover critiques (max 1 email every other week)
- Book marketing: a short newsletter (by myself) sharing one actionable marketing idea every week (1 email a week)
I would really appreciate it if you could take one second to click here and update your preferences. Remember that you can change your mind at any point: if you want to unsubscribe from any or all newsletters, just use the link in the footer of our emails.
After that, you can go back to your writing cave :)
