JOIN US TO CELEBRATE #MyQTPOCPride 
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth ages 13-25 are directly impacted by the criminal justice and immigration detention system every day.  Facing exclusion, and violence and the state enforcement of discrimination and profiling in our lives and of our bodies.  In 2018, fourty-nine years after the Stonewall Rebellion - an event that LGBTQ Prides honors - Black, Brown.Trans and Queer communities are still not fully included in the mainstream LGBT vision of liberation and other movements for racial and social justice..
 
BreakOUT! presents MyQTPOCPride a keynote and panel discussion with  Miss Major Griffin-Gracy a formerly incarcerated Black transgender elder and activist who has been fighting for the rights of trans women of color and TGNC communities for over 40 years.  Miss Major is a veteran of the Stonewall Rebellion and a survivor of Attica State Prison, a former sex worker, an elder, and a community leader and human rights activist. Additional panelists for MyQTPOCPride include Wendi O’Neil, Sy’riah Jackson, Vern Plotkin, Micaiah Bradley, Tamara Chanel and more
 
Limited Space! LGBTQ youth of color ages 13-25, and Adult LGBTQ Communities of Color will be given priority for seating. Allies welcome. Translation available.

HART Committee Launches at BreakOUT!

Moonlite introduces first Healing And Resistance Together (HART) Committee at BreakOUT!

As part of integrating Healing Justice through the organization in practices and education, Moon has launched a new HART Committee this past April. The HART Committee - open to LGBTQ youth of color ages 13-25 years meets weekly on Thursdays at 4:00pm with Moon to create and coordinate monthly HART nights.
HART Nite events are monthly healing justice nights for LGBTQ youth to learn about various strategies for healing to create sustainable and resilient youth movement leaders. These events vary from candle making to crystal wrapping workshops.The committee is in the process of setting intentions to create a strong team building and increase wellness in our community.   
Member Thrift Shop Now Open!
 


Member Thrift shop is now open and we are taking donations - clothes, under garments, shoes, and bags! Especially interested in clothes that are for summer, plus size, feminine, masculine and gender non-conforming. BreakOUT! takes donations Tues - Fri 10:00 - 6:00pm.
